<div itemprop="description">Dorothy Anna Lidster Anderson<br />1919 - 2014<br /><br />Dorothy passed away peacefully at Hastings Manor on November 17, 2014 at the age of 95 years. Born in Peterborough to T.A. Tucker and Lillian Carter, she spent her childhood in Lindsay and Roseneath. From 1933 she lived and worked in Belleville. In 1940 Dorothy married Earl Lidster who passed away in 1976. Her second marriage in 1981 was to Jerald Anderson of Rednersville. He passed away in 1991. Dorothy was the devoted and loving Mother to her only child Marsha (nee Lidster) and her husband Donald Pordham. She was a dear Grandmother and Great Grammy A. to two grandsons and their families; Scott and Anita, Alex and Jackie Pordham of Belleville and Cullen and Linda, Christi, Daniel and Emily Pordham of Burlington. Dorothy was predeceased by her siblings; Marjorie Hodgson, Mavis Halsey and Arthur Tucker all of Belleville and Jerald's daughter Meribeth Anderson of Waterloo. <br /><br />The family wishes to recognize and thank the staff of both Quinte Gardens and Hastings Manor, and Dr. William Bates and Dr. James Reid for their wonderful care and service. Dorothy was a longtime volunteer at the hopsital and member of the United Church. <br /><br />If friends so desire, donations in her memory would be appreciated by the family directed to Belleville General Hospital Foundation or Easminster United Church Memorial Fund. A private family celebration of Dorothy's life and inurnment at Belleville Cemetery will be held at a later date. Services entrusted to BURKE FUNERAL HOME (613-968-6968).</div>
