<div itemprop="description">WALSH, Edmund Michael (Retired from Bristol Myers/Mead Johnson) - Peacefully at the Belleville General Hospital on Sunday, May 1st, 2016 in his 88th year. Dear son of the late Joseph and Nellie Walsh. Beloved husband of the late Jean (nee - Rump) Walsh who passed away November 7th, 1988. Devoted loving father of Mary Jean DeRushie (Philip) and Lou Anne McCullam/Walsh (Dan Joly). Loved by his 4 grandchildren; Michael and Scott DeRushie (Melissa), Cristin (Steve) and Alicia McCullam and his 9 great grandchildren; Kolin, Jamie, Declan, Gavin, Raven, Liam, Anakin, Avery and Brayden. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Margaret (Walter) Markuschewsky, Beatrice Thompson (Tom), Theresa (Carl) Hubbard, Helen Feeney (Bob), Carmel Craig (Joe) and the late Joseph (Doreen), Pat (Dorothy) and the late infant brother Dennis. Dear brother in law to the late Louis (Gladys), Albert (Irene), Vernon (Jean) Rump and his late son in law Jim McCullam. Edmund was an avid gardener and looked forward to planting his garden every year, loved to dance and attend outdoor music concerts, and buffet suppers. The family would like to thank Dr. Levesque and Dr. Sloan and the 5th floor nurses, for their medical care. The Access Centre, the SMILE program, and to Brian MacIntosh for his kindness and devotion to dad when he was so ill. Friends are invited to visit at the BURKE FUNERAL HOME (613-968-6968) 150 Church Street, Belleville on Friday, May 6th, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Mass with Christian Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, May 7th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. James Cemetery. Reception to follow the burial at St. Joseph's Church Parish hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to Dr. Levesque Oncology Clinic at Quinte Health Care would be greatly appreciated by the family.
