<div itemprop="description">Erich Kollars (Ret&rsquo;d Nortel) <br /> <br />Passed with dignity and courage at the Belleville General Hospital on Thursday, August 20, 2015 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of 54 years of the late Edda Kollars (nee Tuerk). Loving father of Ruth Kollars of Belleville and Ralph Kollars and his late wife Barb of Burlington. Cherished grandfather of Raymond Kollars and Natalie Kollars. Dearly missed by his brother-in-law Gerhard Tuerk and his wife Medi of Windsor, sister-in-law Maria Weess and her husband Guenter of Michigan. Predeceased by his parents, Franz and Franziska Kollars, Edda&rsquo;s parents, Eduard and Mathilde Tuerk, brother-in-law Dietmar Tuerk, Edda's aunt Erna Dienesch and her husband Andreas. Will be lovingly remembered by his cousin Franz of Austria, many nieces, nephews and close family friends, many of whom emigrated together from Europe. Erich was a proud employee of Nortel for 33 years. He spent many happy years at Bay of Quinte Golf &amp; Country Club and at Bay of Quinte Yacht Club. <br /> <br />Funeral Services entrusted to The BURKE FUNERAL HOME (613-968-6968) 150 Church St. Belleville, Ontario. <br />Family and friends are welcome at the Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 516 Victoria Avenue, Belleville for visitation on Saturday, August 29, 2015 from Noon until 2:00 p.m. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The family would like to thank Dr. Grieve, the wonderful nurses and PSWs of BGH, Quinte 5 and the many home support workers for their compassionate care.
