<div itemprop="description">ROY, Leona passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday October 17, 2015 at Belleville General Hospital at age 96. Predeceased by her husband Emilien Roy and son Thomas. Dear mother of Charlotte (Dawn Vetter), Gustave (Bridget Friel) , Jean-Noel (Eveline Thibault), Francois (Marianne Ter Horst), Marcelle, Lucie (Denis Lachance), Sylvie (Pat Donovan), Simone (Jerry Tiller) and Liette. Loved by her many grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Dear sister of Fr. Arthur Belanger. Leona is survived by her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law and her many nieces and nephews. Leona was first a woman of faith, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her laughter and humour will be missed by all including members of St. Joseph's Parish as well as her many friends and family. Thank you to the wonderful staff at the BGH who had the privilege to meet and provide for her. God bless and rest in peace we all love and will miss you. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. At family request cremation has taken place. A service will be held in St Joseph's Church, 399, Victoria St., Belleville, ON. at 11:00 AM, Saturday November 7, 2015. Family and friends will be there to greet you and receive your condolences starting at 10:00 AM. A memorial celebration will also be held in &Eacute;glise Saint-Donat, 6805 rue de Marseille, Montr&eacute;al QC, on Friday November 13, 2015 at 2:00 PM.
