<div itemprop="description">FRECHETTE, Scott Francis<br /><br />After an extremely courageous battle with lung cancer, Scott passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 29th in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Anna (nee Cashin). Dear father of Terri Crawford (Jason) - Burlington and Scott (Missy) - Belleville. Loving brother of Jean Minaker (Bill) - Belleville and Janet Hancock (Larry) - Calgary, as well as cherished brother-in-law of Joe Cashin (Winnie) - Chilliwack, BC. Adored grandfather to Cameron, Skylar, Mackenzie, Allie and Riley. Great Grandfather to Payton. Predeceased by his parents George and Abbie Frechette and his sister Carol Adamson (Joe). Scott served his country for 12 years as a member of the Royal Canadian Navy after which he spent 26 years in the financial industry. Scott was Branch Manager at many locations throughout Ontario and retired from Scotia Bank, Trenton in 2005. He was a long time member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Trenton. For the past 10 years he and Anna have enjoyed the winter months in Ft. Pierce, Florida.<br /><br />Visitation will take place at the BURKE FUNERAL HOME, 150 Church St., Belleville on Sunday, October 4th from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph&rsquo;s Catholic Church, 399 Victoria Avenue, Belleville on Monday, October 5th at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at St. James Cemetery. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Dr. Moorsom and the nurses in the Northumberland Hills Hospital (Cobourg) - Palliative Care Unit and Drs. Heffernan, Milne and Viola at KGH. In lieu of flowers, donations in Scott's memory may be made to Northumberland Hills Hospital - Palliative Care Unit or to the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
